UK Hallmark

UK Hallmark

What is a UK Hallmark? Here at Charlotte Cornelius Jewellery Design every single piece of jewellery is sent to the historic Goldsmiths Hall Assay Office where our unique CC Makers Mark is registered and stamped along side the London Assy Leopard head.

  • Is a set of component marks applied to articles of the precious metals gold, silver, platinum or palladium.
  • Means that the article has been independently tested.
  • Guarantess that it conforms to all legal standards of purity (fineness).
  • Guarantees provenance by telling us where the piece was hallmarked, what the article is made from and who sent the article for hallmarking.

The date letter for 2021 will be lower case w as shown.  A non-compulsory mark, the date letter changes annually on 1st January.  The font, case and shield shape all change so each can only indicate one specific year.
