Shortlisted Entries & Voting Starts!

As part of the Portsmouth 100 celebrations, our “What Does Portsmouth Mean To Me?” jewellery design competition invited creatives of all ages to design a piece of sterling silver jewellery inspired by our brilliant island city.
From personal stories and treasured memories to bold interpretations of Portsmouth’s landmarks, heritage and spirit, we asked entrants to translate what the city means to them into wearable design.
Submissions are now closed, and following careful consideration, our judging panel has selected five outstanding finalists to progress to the public voting stage.
Before revealing the shortlisted designs, Charlotte shares a message about this year’s entries:
“We have been truly blown away by the creativity, thought and personal stories behind every single entry to our Portsmouth100 inspired jewellery design competition. Choosing just five finalists was no easy task and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part. Your designs captured such beautiful and unique perspectives of what Portsmouth means to you and we loved seeing them!”

Thank You
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who entered the competition. The quality of submissions exceeded our expectations, and we have loved seeing the many different ways people chose to celebrate Portsmouth through jewellery design.
This competition has highlighted the creativity, pride and sense of community that make Portsmouth such a special place, particularly as we celebrate 100 years of city status.
The winner will be announced on 10th July 2026, with the completed jewellery piece unveiled at a presentation event in September.
Good luck to all of our shortlisted designers, and thank you for helping us celebrate Portsmouth 100.
