Behind The Scenes

Our Coastal Amora Wedding Photoshoot with Ester Keate

Even a global pandemic cannot halt the celebration of love! With weddings back on the scene, it's the perfect time to show our coastal wedding collaboration with London-based photographer, Ester Keate.

With our bold colours and ethical jewellery we wanted to push the boundaries of traditional wedding imagery and combine our coastal location with interior glamour and contrasting textures.
Beautiful French model Malaika, and talented make-up artist Alex Reader, got together with us on an especially bitter day in March to shoot our Amora collection.

The earthy colours of our rose cut diamonds to the brilliance of our white diamonds are inspired by natures universal elements. These hand-picked gemstones headline our Amora engagement and wedding ring collection.

To really capture the enchanting quality of each ring, we started with outdoor shots and clothing that strengthened the feel of each look and design. Orange wedding dress anyone?

Our friends, David Western Couture, very kindly lent us the bespoke wedding dresses, and the vibrant flower bouquets were put together by Smell the Roses. These bold designs were ideal for representing our vision, particularly with the bridal market’s growing appeal towards vivid colours and striking blooms.

After a glorious bracing day on the beach, we stormed The Queens Hotel with their decadent pillared foyer for an exotic location backdrop.

With luscious greenery and foliage in wedding ceremonies also expected to become more of a trend this year, this was the perfect location to really get a feel for those green hues against the glistening jewels and bold colours!

We moved on to Hideout Coffee for use of their secret, glamorous retro-pink basement. The pastel pink setting contrasted wonderfully with the fiery amber shades of the dress and the Mediterranean blue of our aquamarine Jupiter Eclipse Set.

Finally, after a fun yet long day of shooting, every piece of jewellery that we had chosen had been photographed! So, over the next couple of weeks it was up to Ester to go back to her studio to download the hundreds of photos taken and narrow them down to groups. Following which, we painstakingly chose which ones should be retouched and edited for our final portfolio.

With the the anticipated end of many social restrictions by summertime, we are all feeling a newfound excitement for the wedding season ahead!
